🍂 caramel milk tea
— slight twist of sweetness for milk tea lovers at home!
↪the ingredients:
- tea of choice
- milk of choice
- sugar
all three ingredients could be adjusted based on personal preferneces!
some common tea type for milk tea are black tea, green tea, oolong, or earl gray.
they may look similar but each kinds of teas have distinctive tastes!
and of course, the portion of milk could be adjusted based on how strong you would want the taste of tea vs milk.
sugar too, but for this recipe it is recommended to not lessen the portion too much
since it is essential for the caramelization.
↪the steps:

prepare your ingredients!

put your tea leaves and sugar into a pot,(preferably a non stick pan) and sauté them over low heat.

sauté the mixture slowly! wait for the sugar to disslove.

once the sugar had dissloved completely, stir and wait for the caramel color to appear!

with our caramelized sugar ready, pour a bit of water (just enough to cover the tea and sugar) to prevent sticking.

on a higher heat, bring the mixture to a boil.

add in your milk of choice and boil the milk tea over low heat. continue to stir!!

turn off heat when the milk tea is boiled.

strain the milk tea.

optional: add ice if it's a hot sunny day~
